ベルギーとフランスの大学の共同研究で、バイオマス廃棄物から
作った酢酸エチル (EtAc)、プロピオン酸エチル (EtPr)、酪酸エ
チル (EtBu) 混合のバイオ燃料が HCCI エンジンに使えることが
分った。
現在は最適混合条件に必要な醗酵プロセスの調査、HCCI エンジ
ンの作動液に与えるこれらエステルの影響の確認を中心に研究が
続いている。
