バイオベースのプラスチックや複合材料が徐々に自動車産業に進出している。プジョーが新モデル308を発表した。これにはバイオベースのプラスチックが45kg使われている。 自動車メーカの目は厳しいが、ルノーも中期的の研究対象にしている。
