AudiとJouleが後者が開発した微生物から直接作るバイオ燃料の評価に関する契約をした。微生物は太陽エネルギー、二酸化炭素、栄養分を供給するだけでバイオリアクタで栽培される。特別に開発したAudiの試験装置を使った結果では、Jouleの燃料がこれまでの燃料より特性的に優れていることがしばしば認められた。
